Where is radio heading?
Who are the companies spending the money?

When Studio3fm first went on air in 2005, then primarily under Mountain Media Productions, Streaming was very limited and thought not worth the cost by many.

Podcast was just starting, but commercial streaming, was just a handful of stations. There was little to know revenue, and few listeners. people didn't know about it, and cellphones were very limited. No Ipads, just a few laptops.

Wow, today really is a whole different world.

But how does it compare to AM, FM and HD? According to BIA Kelsey marketing forecast and research for the US, things are definitely on the move.

The effectiveness, or ROI (return on Investment) is showing 32.4 percent rated radio either excellent or extraordinary. This 32.4% is determined by 10-19 times return on their ROI for excellent and for Extraordinary at over 20% ROI.

So who is getting these returns or vesting in radio the most?

Radio alone is nearly a $17 Billion industry, receiving  over  $2 Billion from finance and insurance companies. Tech companies came in just under $2 Billion.
Local stations pulled in an estimated$ 2 Billion from the auto industry.

Now here is an interesting number that seems to be inline with most projections year after year since about 2004.
Over the air advertisng over terrestrial radio, is on a continuing decline of 1.6% last year alone, while online revenue ads grew by over 11.6%.

When you throw in Internet radio, legit commercial stations,  they have nowhere to go but up with the market share. With all the new continuing ways with online radio to reach people, it is nearly limitless.

With BIA Kelsey research, Radio (AM, FM, HD and satellite ( which has been on a decline ) Radio comes in 5th (9%) over US local and National marketing.

Television comes in 24.6 Billion at 14% . Online comes in at 23.3 Billion (14%), Mobile at 29.5 Billion at 17%.

NOW look at Commercial Internet broadcasting. We have access to car broadcasting through the many models of cars, we reach in on commercial building where weakening signal strength and lower FM and AM powers can no longer be as effective in these areas. We are on every mobile app from ipads to cell phones, gps units, AND we are still the on your computers.

We stream audio, video, live events, live TV, concert sets, afternoon and morning drives ALL OVER THE WORLD, not just in the geographic area the government restricts terrestrial stations to.

So where is the real market turning? Well we feel it doesn't take a special report to figure this out.

Commercial Internet Stations... Welcome to our world STUDIO3FM.com !

Oh did I forget to say we have been growing every year since we first went on air, and this year we are already  hitting a 255% increase in revenue over last year.

Ya, we know where the future is going and has been going for the last 11 years. :)

Drones and radio...

With all the endless apps for drone usage, it is really not surprising that drones have found their way into the radio industry.

Maybe not as you might think... Drones are now being used to inspect radio towers. A very dangerous but needed task, that has just had a bit of the danger reduced.

Instead of climbing the towers, sometimes taking all day per tower, now in part can be done by drones and their cameras and infrared systems.

These in some respects are even better than a personal look. The views can be reviewed over and over, focused in on trouble spots or concerns that the tower inspector may miss if not in the shear issue of staying in tune with the current danger of the climb up inspecting, and carrying equipment.

This does not replace a tower climber, normally two at a time, but helps them focus on the needed areas more.

Drones are limited currently to 500 feet height and must remain in the controllers vision. However, the FAA is looking at lifting some of those restrictions in the near future...

The application is huge for radio and TV, now the commercials take on a whole new quality, image, that before could only be achieved at an enormous cost.

We are incorporating video in our players now, this is the next direction for Studio3fm as I am sure many others will soon follow...

We are in a new generation of media that really took many by surprise. Still many refuse to look to the future of video, audio streaming, mobile apps, live remote cast, podcast and more.

Studio3fm, launched into this industry over 10 years ago when nobody but just a few techies even had a clue of what was coming.

We are one of the few stations , maybe the only one, that does R&D for the industry for new ways to reach our audience all over the world...

Building Time

Building time is something that for the most part, is not taught in public education and rarely in private schools.

Building time is taking your time and multiplying out your hours in the day. We all have 24 hours, that is a given. However, a person can take that 24&  Build into  unlimited hours as "leveraging" your time.

Look at your standard work place. The goal for a business is to grow. The founder still has 24 hours a day, but yet he or she is accomplishing 10,000 hours a day in work.

The hours are called employees. Employees are working and the founder is taking a percentage off from each person's effort. Creating hopefully a business of wealth.

This option is not as readily available anymore as it once was. So now what?

Options are still extremely huge. You just need to know where to look, how to research the options the best way for the correct results and a focus or goal on the direction you want to accomplish that goal.

There is online marketing. That is leveraging your time to the world time clock. This can be very rewarding, but difficult to get on the right road to start off and maintain.

So what else is there? One of the most effective way is Channel marketing. You are like a franchise, so the risk have been hugely eliminated. The cost is very low to get started. The rewards are very high. BUT, to be successful in anything, you must be diligent in your efforts, persistent, build your business with integrity, and following the path that the company has laid out for you that has already had the bumps smoothed out, the road straightened, and the focus is clear on the objective.

Let me back up a second up three paragraphs again. There are over 4400 channel marketing companies in the US alone. There are probably realistically about a dozen or less that you are fairly safe in working through in having the main things down not good but great.

Here are some tips in researching...
Company history of performance and public eye.
Structure, have they had to change the pay structure over the years. This can be a warning sign.
Product lines, are they a step up in quality, not just hype?
      Cost of starting and SECURITY.

There are many, in fact most, that have clauses in their contracts, that allows them to change your contract at will, and even take your business away at their discretion. I have seen this over and over.

Right now, there is only one I know of that has all of above, but most of all , protects your business as your business and very difficult for anyone to take away from you.

The only company I have found that fits all of the above is a company called Avisae.

Build your time, get more hours of production, and less hours you are producing, and build a future.

I have provided a link to Avisae  if you want to learn more about them or send me an email, and I will forward some great material your way.  Avisae link .bryanc@studio3fm.com.

Are you like clay?

Our lives are summed up is one parable as the potter's clay.

What's this mean? A potter makes bowls vases, and containers over the years from clay. The potter puts the clay on a round flat platform and spins the platform as the potter takes his hands slowly and guides the clay into the shape the potter has in mind.

We are the clay, and our Father is the potter. Molding our lives into a masterpiece. What we need to do,

is keep moving, be patient, allow direction, and conform to our Potters loving hands, shaping us as we spin, into a piece of pottery for God's use.

Our moving can be our ministries we work in, our family, or work, our relationships. Keep moving, that is the only way for A Him to form us...

How much interest are you growing?

There is a saying that has been around for years in many circles throughout my days,  I have no idea who first coined the phrase, " People do not know how much you know, until they know how much you truly care".

If you think about the phrase, it is very powerful, but not complete. perhaps the phrase should continue saying " Time will surely show how much you care".

This is true in ministries, business, and relationships. Does this mean not to trust anyone without time and history? Absolutely not! If that was the case, think how many would not be saved but lost if they held to that principle with Jesus.

It means relationships will grow with time and history. However, you must learn how to discern from good and bad people and relationships. Learn how to trust God in directing you. But as the saying goes, you can not direct a ship unless it is moving...

God can't do much with your life if you are not moving... MOVE! Saying God hasn't told me yet what to do, is saying I am not going to grow any talents our master gave to me. That is not biblical.

We are to be good stewards with our money, AND relationships... Grow your relationships with huge interest!!!

Creating Time...

You hear it all the time, "I am so busy", and "I just don't have time"...

Really? Do some people have 28 hours in a day and you just 19? Of course not.
We all have the exact same amount of time each day, 24 hours.

Let's take a look at our time broke down. We all require different amount of sleep, but the studies show one sleep is about the most important thing you need to fit in your schedule.

Second, we on an average need 8-9 hours of sleep. Growing kids and teenagers, need 9-10 hours a day.
Here is why we need this sleep. One our health. When we get a balanced sleep time in our life it not only helps us in our hours we are awake, but  also helps our metabolism. People that stay up and don't get the rest needed on an average fight their weight more than those who balance the rest periods in their life.

We all need to eat, let's set aside a half hour a meal. Again taking your time eating and relaxing has proven to better your health as well. Three times at a half hour, one and a half hours.

8 hours sleep
1 1/2 eating
1 hour for getting up and going to bed time
1 1/2 average total commute to work
8 1/2 hours average of work and lunch time combined (half hour overlap)

We are at 20 1/2 hours! We only have 3 1/2 hours left in the work day.

So what do we do with the time? After school sports, entertainment, family, relaxing?

About 10 and a half hours, the first part of our day and including eating are really priority times that we should not touch. But we do! Over scheduling, trying to get more and more.

Time has become our idol... Yep time can be an idol as well as material things.

Instead, create ways your money works for you while you are not working. That is creating security, and often wealth.

Get control of your life, don't have an idol control you. When you say you don't have time for important things, you need to reevaluate your schedule.

Chasing time and money creates poor health, broken families and a very less then great eternal life...

Balance, priorities, control, and reevaluation... Get your time back...
