Where is radio heading?
Who are the companies spending the money?

When Studio3fm first went on air in 2005, then primarily under Mountain Media Productions, Streaming was very limited and thought not worth the cost by many.

Podcast was just starting, but commercial streaming, was just a handful of stations. There was little to know revenue, and few listeners. people didn't know about it, and cellphones were very limited. No Ipads, just a few laptops.

Wow, today really is a whole different world.

But how does it compare to AM, FM and HD? According to BIA Kelsey marketing forecast and research for the US, things are definitely on the move.

The effectiveness, or ROI (return on Investment) is showing 32.4 percent rated radio either excellent or extraordinary. This 32.4% is determined by 10-19 times return on their ROI for excellent and for Extraordinary at over 20% ROI.

So who is getting these returns or vesting in radio the most?

Radio alone is nearly a $17 Billion industry, receiving  over  $2 Billion from finance and insurance companies. Tech companies came in just under $2 Billion.
Local stations pulled in an estimated$ 2 Billion from the auto industry.

Now here is an interesting number that seems to be inline with most projections year after year since about 2004.
Over the air advertisng over terrestrial radio, is on a continuing decline of 1.6% last year alone, while online revenue ads grew by over 11.6%.

When you throw in Internet radio, legit commercial stations,  they have nowhere to go but up with the market share. With all the new continuing ways with online radio to reach people, it is nearly limitless.

With BIA Kelsey research, Radio (AM, FM, HD and satellite ( which has been on a decline ) Radio comes in 5th (9%) over US local and National marketing.

Television comes in 24.6 Billion at 14% . Online comes in at 23.3 Billion (14%), Mobile at 29.5 Billion at 17%.

NOW look at Commercial Internet broadcasting. We have access to car broadcasting through the many models of cars, we reach in on commercial building where weakening signal strength and lower FM and AM powers can no longer be as effective in these areas. We are on every mobile app from ipads to cell phones, gps units, AND we are still the on your computers.

We stream audio, video, live events, live TV, concert sets, afternoon and morning drives ALL OVER THE WORLD, not just in the geographic area the government restricts terrestrial stations to.

So where is the real market turning? Well we feel it doesn't take a special report to figure this out.

Commercial Internet Stations... Welcome to our world STUDIO3FM.com !

Oh did I forget to say we have been growing every year since we first went on air, and this year we are already  hitting a 255% increase in revenue over last year.

Ya, we know where the future is going and has been going for the last 11 years. :)
