Are you like clay?

Our lives are summed up is one parable as the potter's clay.

What's this mean? A potter makes bowls vases, and containers over the years from clay. The potter puts the clay on a round flat platform and spins the platform as the potter takes his hands slowly and guides the clay into the shape the potter has in mind.

We are the clay, and our Father is the potter. Molding our lives into a masterpiece. What we need to do,

is keep moving, be patient, allow direction, and conform to our Potters loving hands, shaping us as we spin, into a piece of pottery for God's use.

Our moving can be our ministries we work in, our family, or work, our relationships. Keep moving, that is the only way for A Him to form us...

How much interest are you growing?

There is a saying that has been around for years in many circles throughout my days,  I have no idea who first coined the phrase, " People do not know how much you know, until they know how much you truly care".

If you think about the phrase, it is very powerful, but not complete. perhaps the phrase should continue saying " Time will surely show how much you care".

This is true in ministries, business, and relationships. Does this mean not to trust anyone without time and history? Absolutely not! If that was the case, think how many would not be saved but lost if they held to that principle with Jesus.

It means relationships will grow with time and history. However, you must learn how to discern from good and bad people and relationships. Learn how to trust God in directing you. But as the saying goes, you can not direct a ship unless it is moving...

God can't do much with your life if you are not moving... MOVE! Saying God hasn't told me yet what to do, is saying I am not going to grow any talents our master gave to me. That is not biblical.

We are to be good stewards with our money, AND relationships... Grow your relationships with huge interest!!!

Creating Time...

You hear it all the time, "I am so busy", and "I just don't have time"...

Really? Do some people have 28 hours in a day and you just 19? Of course not.
We all have the exact same amount of time each day, 24 hours.

Let's take a look at our time broke down. We all require different amount of sleep, but the studies show one sleep is about the most important thing you need to fit in your schedule.

Second, we on an average need 8-9 hours of sleep. Growing kids and teenagers, need 9-10 hours a day.
Here is why we need this sleep. One our health. When we get a balanced sleep time in our life it not only helps us in our hours we are awake, but  also helps our metabolism. People that stay up and don't get the rest needed on an average fight their weight more than those who balance the rest periods in their life.

We all need to eat, let's set aside a half hour a meal. Again taking your time eating and relaxing has proven to better your health as well. Three times at a half hour, one and a half hours.

8 hours sleep
1 1/2 eating
1 hour for getting up and going to bed time
1 1/2 average total commute to work
8 1/2 hours average of work and lunch time combined (half hour overlap)

We are at 20 1/2 hours! We only have 3 1/2 hours left in the work day.

So what do we do with the time? After school sports, entertainment, family, relaxing?

About 10 and a half hours, the first part of our day and including eating are really priority times that we should not touch. But we do! Over scheduling, trying to get more and more.

Time has become our idol... Yep time can be an idol as well as material things.

Instead, create ways your money works for you while you are not working. That is creating security, and often wealth.

Get control of your life, don't have an idol control you. When you say you don't have time for important things, you need to reevaluate your schedule.

Chasing time and money creates poor health, broken families and a very less then great eternal life...

Balance, priorities, control, and reevaluation... Get your time back...

Business Tip

This week I met with a ministry that is very well established and doing well in their work both in outreach and seemingly financially as well. But there was some areas that just a little tweaking would make a huge difference in their ROI for advertising.

Here are a couple basic things to keep in mind when you are looking at advertising.

Decided what the purpose is for the outgoing advertising funds. Is it for:

           A. Branding, creating a visual of presence in the forefront of the viewer or listener's mind.
This is not a quick deal, and the most expensive to be effective. It takes repetitive ads
and in multiple avenues to reach a consistency of that presences when the person goes to
act upon their knowledge to respond to you instead of another business or ministry.

           B. Is funding. Is your purpose to gain business or funding for your ministry? If so, this is
not the same direction or content as awareness campaigns. Here you need to create a need
to satisfy for the prospect. This is often done by the old stand by, "pulling at the heart
                strings".
We have all seen the suffering animal commercials, the starving children commercials,
and the organization survival commercials like " we will have no fire, police or medical, all
prisoners will be set free if you don't vote for us now, commercials.
To be effective, and all examples I just gave are highly effective in their own projection
of need. They all present a crisis or need that can only be fixed with your help. It makes the
viewer feel empowered to make the difference for this organization.

           C. Recruiting is for a calling for help or volunteers. Here there needs to be a balance. You can
not come on too strong  or too needy, thus driving the viewer away by thinking they are
desperate, or they will need all my time I don't have.  So to achieve the wanted volunteers,
you must do a sandwich effect. First intrigue the viewer with something relatable or
pleasing. For example a horse rescue ranch you would not start out showing a starving
horse, that is more of the plea for funding area. You would want to show a great looking
horse interacting with people, running, full of life. Then you would bring into view the
people helping and enjoying working with the animals from good times to when they first
rescued the horse in it's worse need, then back to the recovery.
Now a person is going through the emotions of how great things are, where it started,
and where they are in the completed cycle of fulfillment. People need to feel needed,
helpful, and satisfaction as making a difference.

In all of these examples, there must be a decisive message. A hook, and a call to action. There must be repetitive information throughout the ad. Name, action, contact as a rule needs presented a minimum of three times to start to be effective in the mind of the viewer.

One ad a week, you're wasting your money. If you are not hitting your prospect at least 20 times in a campaign a week at a bare minimum, you simply are not going to hit the target enough to create action or to remember to go to later. The brain often reacts  on what seems to be the most important thing to it when deciding something. The most repetitive item registers as that must be very important, I have heard or seen that several times.

Think of car ads, medication ads or furniture ads. These are on every break. Why, because they have competition and they need that front row seat in your minds decision making process. second is not very effective...

Finally, unless you have very deep pockets to through away, you need to verify your targeted audience. The ones who are most likely to act in your favor. Your ROI (return on investment) must have a price point that is affordable and achieving with your funds the desired effect.

A fast a furious movie may not be the effective audience for a feed the children spot. However a Disney family movie might fit the target better...

Family and Memorial Day Weekend

When we take the time to reflect on all our freedoms earned by all the bloodshed of all the men and women of this country since its birth, we have something very special. We have the ability to raise a family within this freedom without the government saying you can only have one boy or one girl. They can only work doing this, their education cannot be for the girls, they can chose their god...

With all this freedom unlike a great deal of this world, comes a great responsibility... Does it not seem like a wise decision would be, to spend a time of everyday with our Father in prayer asking Him to guide our children with this great freedom, to use it wisely through their lives into generations?

Memorial Day is more than a BBQ, it represents so much more...

Standing Firm - More than Memorial Day Weekend

This great country has stood firm over the years after attack and attack of our freedoms our founding fathers gave us... Are we getting soft now?

As the country appears to have a more"lacks" focus mainly do to a more uneducated generation after generation effect compounding the lack of knowledge and freedoms to a "tolerance" of terroristic behavior among it's people.

The core of this is directly traced to one thing. One area of our society who has taken to this "lacks" position over the last 40-60 years, with the pulse taking great life in the sixties...

It is the church... We have continually went down a path of diluting God's word tremendously over the years... We the church, have not stood firm in the solid principles and guidance the Lord gave to us.

Yes, the free spirited, the drugs, the adulterated sex, the lack of morals itself are there prominently, but those are symptoms, not the disease, the disease is the lack of the Lord's people obeying and speaking His word...

This weekend as we remember those who serve and have fallen, remember, they fell for our freedom to serve God like no other country can... Stand firm... America can't stand without God and His people serving... God gives the choice, turn and stand firm with Him, or we will surely fall...

Memorial weekend...

As the years continue, it seems every year more and more commercial promotions seem to creep into this day of recognition... Holiday just doesn't seem appropriate... Celebrating lives lost, really?... Recognizing the huge sacrifice seems more appropriate.

At Studio3fm, we do not accept any advertising for the holiday weekend, we want the focus to be on all who have and are serving in our armed forces.

We thank each of you past, present, and future for your sacrifice, may God be with you...
